Welcome to CWHJA
The Colorado West Hunter/Jumper Association (CWHJA) was created to provide hunter/jumper riders on the western slope with quality, affordable competitions close to home. CWHJA acts as a sanctioning body and offers year-end awards in its rated divisions, including hunters, jumpers and equitation. The Association is an affiliated member of US Equestrian Federation.
Divisions are geared to all ranges of riders and horses, from pre-beginners to open jumpers. Our members are from all over the region, including Gunnison, Montrose, Meeker, Steamboat Springs, Grand Junction, Delta, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Silt, Carbondale and Aspen/Snowmass.
CWHJA’s show season runs from May through September, with most shows held on weekends in May, June, and August. We hold a year-end show and medal finals in late September. Overnight stabling is available at all show venues.
