Dear CWHJA Members,

Horse show season is upon us, and our first show is less than a month away. Now is the time to go to our website and renew your membership. If you are showing in Hunters or Jumpers, be sure to register your horse, and for accurate record keeping, please use the same name registered for your horse at all shows. For your points to count, make sure to be register as a member before your first show.

June 8, 9 – Strang Ranch

June 22, 23 – Windwalkers @ Strang Ranch

July 6 and 7 – Pony Club @ Strang Ranch

Aug 17, 18 – Abundant Acres in Old Snowmass

October 5, 6 – YEAR END – location TBD

We would like to announce our new CWHJA Board Members for 2019. Our regular Board Members are Tera Boaeuf, Lisa Hall Flynn (President), Annie Graber, Megan Graber, Bridget Strang, Jacquelyn Tinsman (Secretary), Kristin Yeary (Vice President) and Nicole White (Treasurer). Our Junior Members are Mackenzi Hart and Hannah Yeary.

We need your support. The 2019 sponsorships are now available. Join us in supporting our members by donating for the year end prizes! Sponsorship are $150 for a full division and $75 for a half.

Join us for our second annual Spring horse show at Cozy Point Ranch on April 13th. Tracye Ferguson from Denver will be our judge. We will have a similar schedule to last year. 2’9” to 3’ in the morning and the kids in the afternoon. This year, we will be offering Jumpers in the evening under the indoor lights. We will also have a “Judge my Ride Clinic with Tracye on Sunday. Check out CWHJA to get details from our prizelist.

We will have a tack swap during the show. If you would like to participate, please contact Lisa Hall Flynn at or 970-379-9481.

Congratulations to our team members, Emilia Deyarmond, Mackenzi Hart, Tess Madnick and Anderson Elizabeth Sherman for qualifying for Zone Finals for the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. We had a fun time in Phoenix, AZ on March 2nd. Mackenzi was 6th in the Intermediate flat and Tess was 4th in the Novice flat.

Tryouts will be earlier this year at the beginning of the summer, so we can get started early with summer clinics and fundraisers. We will set a schedule soon. Check us out on Facebook for details.

We had a wonderful year with many new riders and some competitive seasoned riders. Congratulations to all our riders on a wonderful season. WindWalkers finds a new normal after the Lake Christine Fire. And,finally adds a new therapeutic riding instructor (PATH and EAGLA certified), 4 new horses to its schooling team and is giving consideration to purchasing the property they currently lease in Missouri Heights.

Hi all!

I have started my own training and teaching business, Diverse Equestrian LLC and will be based out of Carbondale! Follow me on Facebook (@diverseequestrianllc)! We are revving up for the summer CWHJA circuit.

Very excited to welcome Riley G’s new lease horse for the summer named Samos. Kailei G also just got herself a new horse, name still pending. We’re super excited to see where these girls go this summer! Also a big welcome to Karen and her horses Juju and Jani!  Looking forward to lots of lessons learned, trail rides and fun.

I am available for training, riding and lessons. I will be working out of Cedar Ridge and Crystal Springs for the time being. I can also come to you. I have lesson horses available and will hopefully be purchasing two more here shortly.
